Seven programs to help set your baby and your family up for success!
In partnership with the Office of Head Start (OHS), within the Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Youth Development, Inc. operates a total of 28 Head Start centers throughout New Mexico; 18 in Bernalillo County, and 10 in Taos and Rio Arriba County. This partnership allows YDI to provide FREE HIGH-QUALITY early childhood education, family development services, and child care for children ages 0 to 5 years old. The Head Start curriculum supports the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of young children and also offers prenatal care and education for pregnant women.

Head Start
Early Head Start/Head Start are two of the most successful federally childhood education programs ever created. It promotes the school readiness of children ages 0-5 from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
